The Dog Grocer sources quails from local farms. Whole prey feeding allows feeding your pet as nature intended. Butchered cuts of meat are bloodless, missing layers of skin, fat and fur/feathers and also exclude some organs, whereas whole prey provides everything including eyeballs, brains and glands. Feathers and beak provide fibre and roughage to the diet and can act as a natural dewormer. Manganese is also provided in the fur, feathers, skin and glands of whole prey, which is all too often low or missing from homemade diets although it is essential for tendon and ligament health.
TDG Raw Feathered Quail Grinds are suitable for rawfed cats and dogs. Thoughtfully processed into smaller portions but made easily separable, the grinds are convenient for feeding while ensuring minimal food and packaging wastage. All frozen meats are packaged in food grade home compostable packaging. Packed into small 25g balls for convenient portioning and feeding, according to dietary requirements of individual pets. For pets on varied protein diets, small portions allow convenient mixing of protein types.
