Say henlo to our Blue Corn Moonkeks
(yes, the spelling is intentional)

It started with a Disney singalong gone wrong. Someone put on Colours of the Wind, someone else got stuck on the line “have you ever heard the wolf cry to the blue corn moon,” and next thing we know we’re googling “what is a blue corn moon” at 11pm like it’s a normal thing to do.

Turns out, it’s real for Disney, we guess. And also a very literal design brief. So this year’s Moonkek (still crescent-shaped, still a moon, still a kek, still very on-brand for us) went blue (again). And yellow. At the same time. We’re not going to pretend it doesn’t look a little bit like a Minion had a moon phase. It does. We’ve made peace with it.

The honest bit: Boss and Admin have been tag-teaming a flu this whole month, so these are launching later than planned and they’re still in the freeze dryer as we write this. What you’re seeing in the photos is the frozen-before-drying state, not the finished product. Will they come out beautifully? Will they hold their shape? We genuinely don’t know yet. We’re manifesting alongside you.

What we can promise: you’ll get a proper, intact batch of Moonkeks in your hands. If this round doesn’t turn out the way we hoped, we’ll remake it, no drama, no disappearing act.
