The Dog Grocer Detox Support is a proprietary blend that is formulated specifically for eliminating accumulated toxins and cleansing the body. Regular detoxification improves general health – eliminating symptoms of toxicity related imbalances such as fatigue, allergies and digestive issues.

The blend is a calculated balanced blend of dandelion root, milk thistle seeds and montmorillonite clay that is safe and highly digestible, formulated for liver health. The liver is the primary filtering organ of the body, responsible for the entire body’s elimination of toxins and excesses from the blood for elimination via the kidneys. It also plays vital roles in digestion through its production of bile, bilirubin, and various enzymes. Its importance makes it essential for one to maintain one’s liver health.

Dandelion root acts as a useful liver tonic by stimulating bile production and circulation throughout the liver. The gallbladder, which stores bile from the liver, is also stimulated – causing contractions to release bile into the digestive tract which in turn, aids in digestion and acts as a gentle laxative to promote the elimination of solid waste.

Whole milk thistle seeds (NOT extract!) are blended into powder for high digestibility. It contains silychristin, silydianin and silybin to aid in liver and kidney damage. Milk thistle seeds are powerful antioxidants and research has found that they can prevent or reduce medication induced liver damage by flushing chemicals residing in the body from the aftermath of medication. Milk thistle seeds also repair liver damage through stimulation of liver cell growth.

Montmorillonite clay’s natural colloidal form makes it easily assimilated by the body and acts as a detoxifying agent by attracting and binding with unwanted wastes and toxins. The clay is also an effective relief for diarrhoea issues and is a natural source of minerals – consisting at least 67 different ones, including iron, magnesium, potassium, manganese, as well as necessary trace elements.
